Introduction

Dayme Project is powered by Atayeb Al Jabal and Stand for Women association, and is proudly supported by the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism. It aims to revive the authentic Lebanese spirit through an interactive experience that combines traditional food, family hospitality, and rural culture. The project offers a unique opportunity for tourists to immerse in the Lebanese rural life and connect with local hosts and small scale women chefs within a warm atmosphere that reflects generous hospitality and rich heritage. The project will take place during summer 2025, in Chouf, Jbeil and Batroun, with plans to expand to other areas in upcoming seasons.

Services Offered

*A traditional Lebanese food and hospitality experience with a host family, in a warm home setting, with food prepared by rural women using ethically sourced products and seasonal local ingredients.

*Interactive cultural and communal activities. Examples include baking traditional Lebanese saj bread, farming, storytelling, nature walks, dabke dancing, and visiting artisan and moune markets.

*Optional rural stay, coordinated with local guest houses for deeper immersion in the rural lifestyle.

Juliana and her community warmly welcome you to spend a full day immersed in the rhythms of village life, sharing food, stories, culture, and deep-rooted local traditions. Meals are authentically prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including dairy products, seasonal produce, traditional saj bread, and both traditional alcoholic (Arak) and non-alcoholic beverages, all made within the village.

They can accommodate up to 65 guests indoors and 150 outdoors, all while upholding values of inclusivity and sustainability.

The Bchaaleh experience invites guests to truly live like locals, while creating income opportunities for community members. Beyond the food, guests can enjoy a range of local activities, from exploring Noah’s Millennial Olive Orchards, to hiking its trails, to listening to captivating tales at the Hakawati (oral storytelling) station, and engaging in hands-on cultural experiences throughout the village.

The Municipality of Bchaaleh collaborates closely with the Bchaaleh Trails Association (https://bchaalehtrails.org/) and other local stakeholders to create a one-of-a-kind experience that brings guests closer to the heart of authentic village life.

  • All bookings must be made at least 3 days in advance to allow proper coordination with our hosts.
  • Once your booking is confirmed, full payment is required within 24 hours via Whish or OMT to secure your spot.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled experience are non-refundable.
  • For cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance, a partial refund of 60% may be issued within 24 hours.
  • All experiences are subject to host availability. In the rare case your selected host is unavailable, we’ll do our best to offer alternatives.
  • Any additional orders not included in the selected menu are not covered by the initial payment and must be settled directly with the host on the spot.
